The 2021 High School Scholarship winner is Ayden Perez

Women’s Council of Realtors, Solano is proud to announce the winner of the 2021 High School Scholarship is Ayden Perez!  Ayden is the nephew of Michelle Perez, from RE/MAX Gold in Fairfield.  Ayden is a 2021 graduate of Whitney High School, RVC, in Rocklin, CA.  Ayden is 17 years old and completed his year with a 3.6 GPA.  We received a copy of his transcript, a letter from an instructor from Rocklin Virtual Campus (RVC) and wrote a very compelling cover letter that made the decision to honor him with our scholarship an easy choice.

Ayden has been involved in multiple community services.  He was in a club called, “the Fearless Club.”  The purpose of the club was to help others to be better people.  He was also part of the St. Vincent’s food shelters and his work included bagging groceries.  He did this, every two weeks for three years, that is dedication to a cause.  His other volunteer services involved organizing books and assisting teachers for elementary students and he even ran carnival games for the children.

Ayden is no stranger to hard work.  He has worked for his father in construction.  His labor work included roofing, building fences, and installing flooring.  He stated that this work has encouraged him to stay in school and learn a craft that is less intense.

Ayden is already attending Sierra College.  Due to COVID and only having virtual classes, he decided to graduate early.  His major at Sierra College is Computer Science.  Once he gets the general education requirements done at Sierra, he intends to apply for the University of Santa Cruz to complete his degree.  There he will study Computer Science and digital animations.  Remember his name, Ayden Perez, he intends to use his superpower to create an incredible interactive virtual video game.  I see a very bright future for this young inventor.

His letter was so heartfelt, that I have decided to include it here for you to enjoy.

WE ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT AYDEN A CHECK FOR $1,000 TO HELP HIM ON HIS JOURNEY.  PLEASE JOIN ME IN CONGRATULATING AYDEN ON HIS AWARD.
